If you look at the images inside Springboard.app on your iPhone under "/ System / Library / CoreServices", you can have an idea of how the animation works. A simple version of the effect can be done as follows:
- Take a screenshot of the screen you want to “crop” and save it in the image.
- Create two images, each of which has a part of the screenshot (for example, the first has the first upper part of the image as a background, the second the rest), you can use the same background image for both types, you only have to play with alignment content.
- Place the two views on the original screen in the exact position so that they look like a single image that perfectly matches the original screen.
- Create a view (folder contents) with your own background and what you want to place inside, place it on the same Y of the bottom image, but below it.
- Take a picture from bottom to bottom for the full size of the content view, you will see that the contents of the folder are displayed.
The iOS version imposes some beautiful borders on the moving images and applies a fading effect, which makes the animation as a whole healthy. You can try and make it enjoyable. Hope this helps
