What is a good Ruby on Rails forum that can easily integrate into an existing application?

What is a good open source RoR 3 open source forum that can easily integrate into an existing application?

Additional functions:

  • OpenID Support
  • Haml / SCSS Templates
  • Support for emoticons, YouTube, images, etc.
  • I'm probably going to change it a lot, and I'm still pretty weak in Ruby, so the clean, commented-out code with good practices will be great.

Thanks:)

The Rails community has never focused on developing Ruby / Rails forums, on the contrary, in other languages such as PHP. Evidence of this is really old news talking about one of the prototypes of forums ever created in Rails.

You can still find Beast tracks somewhere , but the real answer is that from now on there is no interesting open source Rails forum.

I recently searched for similar functionality and came across discourse . You should definitely check it out.

Discourse is the 100% open source, next-generation discussion platform built for the next decade of the Internet. Whenever you need ... a mailing list a forum to discuss something a chat room where you can type paragraphs ... consider Discourse.

It was developed by Jeff Atwood and team
