How to receive Debug / Trace.Writeline message from WCF service

I have a WCF service hosted in IIS. I get WCF trace, but I can not find where trace.writeline entries go. My listener only tracks WCF tracing. Is there a specific source that I need to add in order to enable it.

  • Run Event Viewer
  • Open the Application and Services Logs folder
  • → Microsoft → Windows → Application Server-Applications
  • Right-click the Application Server-Applications folder and select View → Show Analytic and Debug Logs
  • Expand the Application Server-Applications folder and right-click the Debug log. Select Enable Log.

If you know that you started the WCF / WF service compiled in debug mode, Debug.WriteLine () should be logged.

Remember to turn off the log when you are done with it.
