Get feedburner feed on httpS

We grab our feedburner feed using the jQery jGFeed plugin. this works fine until our users get to the httpS: // page.

When we try to load a channel on this page, the user receives a message that the page has mixed content, protected and unprotected.

The solution would be to upload the channel to https, but google does not allow this, the certificate does not work.

$.jGFeed('httpS://feeds.feedburner.com/xxx')

Does anyone know a workaround for this. Now that it works, we simply cannot connect the feed on our pages when on httpS

Feedburner does not offer channels over SSL at this time (https scheme). The message you get about mixed content is designed by design; in fact, any and all content that is not downloaded from a secure connection will trigger this message, so make sure all content is downloaded via SSL - this is really your only alternative to avoid this pop-up.

As I mentioned, Feedburner does not offer channels over SSL, so you really need to port your channel to other services that offer channels over SSL. However, remember what I said above in terms of the contents of your feed. If you have embedded content that is not delivered via SSL, this content also brings up a popup that you are trying to avoid.

This occasionally occurs with other services that do not have an SSL certificate (the Twitter API is also a bit of a mess). Brian's comment is about the nature of the message, so you got a few options:

  • If it is on your server, and the main data is also on your server, then you have end-to-end SSL capabilities; just point jGFeed to the local RSS feed that FeedBurner already imports.
  • Compose a proxy server on your server to redirect the call to Feedburner and return the response via SSL.
  • Find another feed service that supports SSL, and either pass the source feed or Feedburner.

I started using the plugin WordPress Schema theme for my several blogs. In general, this is a good topic, fast and convenient for SEO. However, since my blogs are all on HTTPS , I noticed that if I had a widget (Google Feedburner) on the site panel. Chrome will show a security error for any protected page with an insecure form call on the page.

To fix it, it’s really simple,

you just need to change the widget-subscribe.php file located in / wp-content / themes / schema / functions / and replace all " http://feedburner.google.com " with " https://feedburner.google.com "

Save the file and clear the cache, then your browser will show a green lock.

and I will fix it on my blog www.androidloud.com
