Eclipse shows a red cross on a project icon

I am having a strange problem in eclipse.

I am doing an Android project. After some minute changes, I suddenly noticed that the project icon has a small red cross icon. However, no other file / package / folder shows this icon. I am not sure where the error is and how to solve it.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

This usually means that there is a path error, for example. one tank specified in the project was not found.

This problem usually occurs when you use the maven project. To solve this right-click on a project, go to maven and select the update project. The red cross icon will go.
