Sphinx Rake thinking stops, searchd works when restoring or starting / stopping ts. Index works fine

When I call rake ts:rebuild RAILS_ENV=production , I get the following:

Whenever I try to start / stop, it always says

 rake aborted! searchd is already running.

Even when I manually stop the search and start again, it still says the same thing:

 searchd --config /path/to/app/current/config/production.sphinx.conf--stop

Managed to stop the search using the sudo !!! Then restart rebuild, now everything is in order.

 sudo searchd --stop

Your task can be performed twice.

Look into your Rakefile. You have a line:

 require 'thinking_sphinx/tasks'

If uninstall it. Rails 3.x with Thinking Sphinx 2.x does not need it.
