Do you want to register R.java file in VCS?

Very simple question. I plan to make our builds through Hudson and have Android apk files available for download. Is R.java in the / gen directory something you are registering with in your VCS? Or is this something that needs to be ignored and the android sdk will generate every time if it does not exist?

The entire gen folder is automatically created and should not be checked in VCS.

Nothing in the gene should go into your repository. Add the gene to your .gitignore to avoid git errors / cluttered state.

No, you do not need to include any of the gen / files. You must exclude the gen directory itself, otherwise you might run into problems updating / committing to git or any other VCS.

You need to ignore this file. Ant build task to create this file.
