Visio 2007 Database Properties Window Does Not Display

I know this is probably not the right place to ask this question, but I don't know where else to turn. I tried Google, but this time it didnโ€™t help me.

I have Visio 2007 Professional. I am trying to create a database model complete with primary keys, foreign keys and relationships. The problem is that I cannot figure out how to display the database properties window. I tried double-clicking the table object as well as the relationship object, but nothing is displayed. I tried to run the script on this page , but this did not work for me.

Any suggestions?

TIA!

Close Visio and open it again, this time go to the home page by selecting the data model chart template. If you try to open a template from the Shapes window, it sometimes does not appear. Closing and restarting worked for me :)

Click on the database tab at the top and check / uncheck the Database Properties box.

Try the utilities> Options> Advanced and make sure Enable automation events is checked.

I found this to happen when I open a document as a different type. For example, I usually like to include UML diagrams and database diagrams for a project in the same document.

Unfortunately, I found that the Model Explorer and UML menus would not be displayed in the template with the database template, and the Database Menu and Database Properties would not appear when creating the UML template file.

All I can offer is to make sure that you open the correct type of template, and you should be fine.

Right-click the object or object in the drawing and select Database Properties.

I found this question in search of an answer for Visio 2013, and the suggestions here led me to the answer: * Select an object * On the "Format" tab, click the "Select Content" button * Right-click on the object and the option "Set primary and foreign key" available as

I had the same problem. Since I use multiple monitors, and I dragged the tab to the secondary monitor, and returning to one, the tab will disappear. I had to turn them both on again in order to find and drag the tab to the main screen.
