We have an ASP.NET application running on iis7 with an application pool for which “Disable processing for configuration changes” is set to “True”.
However, when we make changes to the web.config file, the application pool is still processed as indicated in the event log:
Event code: 1002
Event Message: The application is closing. Reason: configuration changed. Event time: 04/16/2011 14:34:23 Event time (UTC): 04/16/2009 9:34:23 Event ID: 36792e5493444e7893665e66e4a4415b Event Sequence: 150 Event: 1 Event ID: 50004

Are there any other settings or functions that will override the DisallowRotationOnConfigChange parameter?
