Which eclipse to download?

The Eclipse downloads page provides a selection of targeted downloads.

I am looking for minimal load; I will select the necessary plugins. I would find such a β€œmain” load, or simply not eclipse the eclipse.

I think Eclipse Classic is what you are going to do. It is suitable for basic Java development, but has at least additional material. I always start with this and then configure with the plugins I need.

Out of curiosity, what type of development are you doing?

I like to watch Compare Eclipse packages first

This will explain the size difference between the "C / C ++" package and the "Classic" package.
The latter is suitable for developing RCP (Rich Client Platform) and includes Eclipse sources .

If you want to do some classic Java development (and not some Eclipse plugin for Eclipse itself), you can start by releasing Java and add plugins later (like PDT for developing Php).

Pay attention to the orange ticks, which include help packages with sources included.
