I am developing a set of WCF services that can theoretically be used autonomously, but in practice there is a kind of client that usually makes several service calls in one session.
Our firewall authentication mechanism is quite heavy and requires calling another authentication provider service.
However, I would like to avoid the overhead of performing authentication with every service call.
looking for patterns / architectural guidance around this.
