Eclipse autocomplete (content support) using jsf2.0, xhtml and price lists 2.2.RC1

I am using Windows 7. I install ClassPath as follows:

D: \ EclipseProjects \ DLFWD_NEW \ WebContent \ WEB-INF \ Lib \ JSF-api.jar; D: \ EclipseProjects \ DLFWD_NEW \ WebContent \ WEB-INF \ Lib \ JSF-impl.jar; D: \ EclipseProjects \ DLFWD_NEW \ WebContent \ WEB-INF \ Lib \ primefaces-2.2.RC1.jar

And I do everything like this:

Window> Preferences> General> Content Types> Text> JSP> Add (xhtml)

But that does not work.

When I use netbeans. I am not doing anything, but the autocomplete function works well.

First back up your project elsewhere.

Download Eclipse Helios and right-click on your project, go to Properties go to project grants change the project "Configuration for JavaServer Faces 2.0" Apply.

Very easy: I have SpringSource Tool Suite 3.0.0 (Eclipse 4.2.0)

Project Properties > Project Facets Check: JavaServer Faces. Version: 2.1 Push Link: Further configuration required... Push Icon Button: Download library Select: Apache MyFaces o Oracle Mojarra Destination folder: I have my own /lib folder into my Project Licence: ok

and enjoy! Content Assist for h: f: and p:

Actually, you have to add .xhtml .

Try to do this:

  • In package / project explorer left-click on the project folder.
  • Click Project Facets voice on the left
  • Convert to faceted form... appears in the right pane. If so, click on it, otherwise skip this step.
  • Configure your configuration correctly and select JavaServer Faces .

You should now have autocomplete in the standard jsf and primefaces libraries.

Support for JSF 2.0 Facelets is introduced in Helios (Eclipse 3.6). For older versions of Eclipse, or for more advanced features such as auto-complete EL, you can always use the JBoss Tools plugin. If you use Glassfish, the Glassfish Eclipse plugin also comes with slightly more advanced Facelets support.
