How to import GIF files into Beamer presentation?

I need to import animations from Maple into my LaTeX / Beamer presentation. I save the file in GIF format. But later I have problems converting this file to PNG. All I get is a static PNG file and cannot continue (((What is the complete code for this in LaTeX?

You can use the animated package for animating the PNG series. To get a PNG series from an animated GIF, use a tool such as ImageMagick convert.

Does this help: LINK ? (This is the same answer as marcog ... just wanted to provide a link to it, given earlier - the solution was the same: the animate package).

In addition, your OS will make a difference. I do not know that Linux (not to mention that you use it) has every opportunity to play animated PDF files. I tried to embed movies using LaTeX, and while it "works", you cannot actually watch them in everything that Linux offers. Okular is working on this, but the last thing I checked (a couple of months?) Is not yet possible.

In any case, I just wanted to add that just in case you are doing everything absolutely right and you do not accidentally see the fruits of your labor, since you are using the Linux viewer. Test your work with Acrobat on Windows to make sure.
