List item animation list item list item?

Is there a set of animation tools when the user clicks on a list item? The animation I'm talking about is when you click on a list item (for example, an email message in your Inbox) and the text is removed under your finger (or collapsed - it's hard to describe). I see this in many Windows Phone 7 applications, such as Yelp, OneBusAway, GoVoice, etc., and wondered if there was any set of tools for this animation or if I had to develop this animation myself.

If anyone knows if such a toolkit exists or not, please let me know! I could do this with a storyboard, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel, unless I have to :).
