Writing my own MIB - any advice on how to do this?

Matching some OIDs with system commands is all I need. However, I could not find a resource that explains how to compose such a thing. Any idea?

There are books on SNMP and MIB, such as the SNMP MIB Handbook . If you want to learn by way of example, read some RFCs that define MIBs, such as the printer MIB .

The Bible MIB is considered Understanding the SNMP MIB . If you look like a book, this is the recommended reading. The RFC for MIBS is also worth reading ( RFC2578 through 79), but donโ€™t give you a great feel for the corner and the โ€œhow toโ€ cases.

I read the SNMP MIB Guide . I was new to this issue, and it led me to the MIB very easily. VERY WELL ORGANIZED. Suggested! I also bought the Unserver SNMP MIB , but I did not read it. After a brief glance it seems very complete.

Good luck
