NPAPI plugin in Internet Explorer?

Is there a way to make the NPAPI plugin work in Internet Explorer or do I need to go through ActiveX?

Not. The IE team refused to support Netscape-style plugins in IE 5.5 SP2, IE 6.0, and then in MS03-015 for IE 5.01.

You can use a special ActiveX control for IE that loads the NPAPI plugin, or you can use FireBreath .
