Can I store data retrieved from Facebook on my server?

Am I allowed to permanently store the data that I extract from Facebook to connect to a user (for example, first name, last name, etc.) on my server if my application requires a function from it? If the user uninstalls the application, I will of course uninstall it. I heard that this is not allowed, but cannot find the correct paragraph in their terms of use.

See the section “Storage and Use of the Data You Receive from Us” on the Facebook Platform page . Applicable item:

You can cache the data that you get through the use of the Facebook API in order to improve the application user experience, but you should try to update the data. This permission does not give you any rights to such data.

So, no, you do not own the data, and you are not allowed to use it as “record data” - that is, your official permanent copy. You should temporarily cache data and update it frequently. Facebook remains the recording system and official data repository.

Now you can explicitly not say in the Platform policy https://developers.facebook.com/policy/ that you cannot store data!
