IsValid (object value) was not implemented by this class

Question

I am trying to use asp.net mvc 3 unprostructed javascript with jquery.

I follow this tutorial

It is not clear how to take the first step.

I thought this just overrides IsValid, but I keep getting the error, so I have to do something wrong

I get this error

The IsValid method should contain your validation logic.

You simply call an implementation of the IsValid base class, which seems to throw a NotImplementedException, because it is expected to be overridden in a subclass.

 public override bool IsValid(object value) { //return true if 'value' is a valid email. Otherwise return false. }
