Cron job solutions in rails3

Question

I try to log data daily, automatically in my rails application. I was wondering if anyone knows a good solution for this? I found https://github.com/javan/whenever , but I wanted to make sure I knew about all the options before choosing.

I really like it whenever it's a great gem, and I used it in production.
