Cannot Find IIS in Windows 7 Home Basic

I just bought a new Lenovo laptop (idealpad) with Windows 7 Home Basic. There is no DVD operating system along with a stock, but the laptop has OS recovery software if you ever want to burn them to DVD. I guess most hardware is on sale today.

Anyway, I want to use IIS. I followed these steps to install it. I went to Control Panel -> Programs -> Enable or disable Windows features . I selected Internet Information Services from the list and let it install it. I think it should be installed.

But now I can not find it. I tried these steps to find inetmgr , but I cannot find the snap-in MMC snap-in interface. Where can I find IIS? I even rebooted the car and checked, but no luck.

Check out IIS Express .

I fell in love with this, and I'm sure you will do it.

Open a command prompt and enter

Iisreset / noforce

If this is an error, IIS was not installed correctly or was not installed at all.

I could find it simply by clicking the "Start" button and typing it in the search bar. It may be a lame idea that you have already tried, but it took me half an hour to figure it out.
