How do you group push contacts in Silverlight Map Control?

I have a Silverlight application in which I use the Bing Map control and I have about 2000 push contacts. Performance is a bit sluggish, and I wanted to know how to group push pins for better performance.

I would suggest using multiple layers, and then display different levels at different zoom levels. I don’t know how your buttons are arranged, so I can’t suggest any specific clustering method .. but you can group them based on the distance between them and then at a lower zoom level just show one element representing the whole group.
