There is no green icon in the SVN folder in Windows7

I am creating a repository, and for some reason, when I create a repository, the directory does not change to display the shared SVN binding.

Are there well-known errors that cause this?

I am using windows7

Thanks Alex

Not sure if this is exactly your problem, but there is a general problem with the TortoiseSVN overlay icons that are not displayed in Windows 7:

Right-click on the folder -> TortoiseSVN -> Settings -> Icon Overlay -> Exclude Paths:

If there are green markers in the drop-down subfolders, you can check them in the subfolder of the folder you are looking at.

There are also problems with caching with TortoiseSVN. TortoiseSVN -> Cleanup usually fixes them.

If the repository is located on a network drive, overlays will not be displayed.

Regarding TortoiseSVN 1.9.4 on Win10
Right-click the folder> TortoiseSVN> Settings> Character Mapping> Drive Types> check "Network Drives"

Right-click on the folder β†’ TortoiseSVN β†’ Settings β†’ Icon Overlay β†’ Status Cache.

Select "Shell."

Just renaming my file (from "DEV" to "DEV_") fixed it for me, and it happened after my computer rebooted and running "Cleanup"

On Windows:

  • Run regedit.exe in start / windows.
  • open path, computer \ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers
  • Delete / export all OneDrive entries.
  • Reboot the computer.

Hope this helps.
