Grails Spring Security Slow Start

Wednesday:

Intel Core 2 duo, 3 gig RAM Ubuntu 9.10, Grails 1.3.5, Spring security plugin 1.1.2 JVM Parameters : -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m

Launching an application using the grails spring plugin is very slow. I found it here . The work around suggests setting up an anonymous key, as it seems to be slowing down due to SecureRandom - "set the key manually using."

I installed this inside Config.groovy no avail.

 grails.plugins.springsecurity.anonymous.key="someuniquekey"

If for someuniquekey number was used. It still takes forever (~ 30 seconds) to go through the Configuring Spring Security... message.

Any ideas? Am I setting it wrong or wrong?

the key should be

 grails.plugins.springsecurity.anon.key

But I try, without even changing after dialing.

You can set the following var in Config.groovy

 environments.development.searchable.bulkIndexOnStartup = false

I found that my problem is not completely related to Spring security, since I install Searchable and have some data inside db, slow startup is mainly due to the Searchable build index on startup.
