Disable automatic check for Delphi XE updates

I have two delphi xe installed in different virtual machines (Running in Windows 7 64 Bits), one of these versions of delphi xe is 15.0.3890.34076. Now, in order to provide support to my clients on a specific version of my product that was compiled using such a version, the delphi version should remain without updates. but every time I run Delphi XE, which is not updating, I have to manually cancel the updates reported by the update checker. The question is, how do I turn off Delphi XE update check?

You can edit the registry. In the HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Embarcadero \ BDS \ 8.0 \ AutoRun section, rename the UpdateCheck key or delete the contents of UpdateCheck \ ProgramToRun.

You need to do the same for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, but do not forget about redirecting the registry to 64 bits - then the key: Software \ Wow6432Node \ Embarcadero \ BDS \ 8.0 \ AutoRun

On XE2, you don’t need to manually scold the registry - just run C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Embarcadero \ RAD Studio \ 9.0 \ bin \ DisableIDEUpdateCheck.reg

I didn’t have the patience to navigate the registry, so I just performed a Delphi repair - every time the installation process ends, you get the option to automatically detect updates or not.
