Problem with running SVN

I am using netbeans, and recently, when I tried to commit my changes, I received this error message:

org.tigris.subversion.javahl.ClientException: Permission denied Commit failed (details follow): Can't move '/home/********/svn/db/txn-protorevs/1000-sk.rev' to '/home/**********/svn/db/revs/1/1001': Permission denied

check file resolution or better for directory. Use

 ls -l

to view the owner

 chown -R owner.group /path

Chown is for modifying owenr / group. Change your values. Instaed you can set all permissions to 777. On linux, this always works, but it's not very stylish :)

 chmod 777 -R /path

In both cases, -R stands for recusirve. Means that it affects all sub-files and files.

Seeing that it says "Permission Denied", it seems that your credentials do not have permission in SVN to write to the destination folder

Are these path links in your local file system or paths in the remote subversion repository? Does it have anything to do with file permissions, or which user is performing the svn task? Is it on the windows?

It seems to me that there is a problem with your local file system, that the user executing the SVN command does not have the necessary letters. Perhaps you checked the project as "root" and you are trying to commit as "mohammedj" or something

In my case, a process occurred that blocked the file. Closing suspicious applications may fix the problem, even try restarting if the problem persists.

The error indicates that you do not have sufficient permissions to write to a specific repository. For permission problems, you should contact the repository administrator. On the bottom line, you do not have sufficient permissions to perform the operation.
