Where can I find out the best way to use Gherkin tags?

I use SpecFlow for my acceptance tests. It uses Gherkin (uses DSL Cucumber). It includes an interesting feature called "tags." I see the practicality of using it, but I'm not sure what might be good practice for using tags in BDD.

I have Googled for help, but unfortunately, including the word "Tag" corresponds to many non-Gherkin tags (for example, on this page!)

I was hoping to find some help on the wiki, but the Tags are not written yet.

I found the instruction "you can use tags to group functions and scripts together regardless of your file and directory structure", but I'm afraid I don't know what that means!
