Is there a cc way: someone on an error / work item in Microsoft Team Foundation Server?

I use Team Foundation Server with Visual Studio 2010 and with Team Foundation Server Power tools.

Power Tool Alert Explorer allows you to configure tfs to send email notifications when someone modifies your work items or assigns you a work item. These were two different warnings that I had to set up. You can also right-click on an existing work item and email yourself a warning when something changes. It took us a while to understand.

In other companies / projects I have worked with, common error systems are bugzilla, and a very common thing that needs to be done so that CC other people / lists that you know would be interested in working with the error / work. This way they will receive an email and will be emailed about any further changes to the work item / error. This is a very common method of transmitting information to people or groups.

Although with TFS Power Tools I can right-click on a work item and receive alerts myself (in fact, I can CC: myself), is there a way for CC: other people?

Thanks!

This is a great question. When you create an alert using the alert editor, you can put multiple email addresses to notify people. They will be on the To: line instead of the CC: line. Will this work for you?

I understand that this question asks about 2010, but in TFS 2012 you can enter the @username value in the "Comments" field to initiate sending email to someone else along with the WorkItem update, even if they are not signed (I I think).
