Eclipse Helios x64 (Mac) - JSP editor freezes / freezes

I am having problems with Eclipse Helios (3.6.2) x64 (32-bit, too), often freezing / freezing when I try to edit .jsp files using the built-in Eclipse editor (Web Tools, J2EE package). I am doing editing with third-party applications, but I would really like to have the correct JSP syntax highlighting and autocomplete. The same symptoms occur when I try to edit .html files in Eclipse (although this is not so much because little is lost with the help of a third-party html editor).

These are simply .jsp files ... are not part of a J2EE or web project. It seems that the problem occurs when I try to add tags ... but this does not seem to cause the problem. He seems to be temperamental.

Think it's a comparison problem? Eclipse auto-complete issue?

I saw that other people had problems with this, but I could not find a clear solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

An old question that is probably already resolved. But in case anyone comes across this question in a search, it may be helpful to find out that an error has been reported.

This usually happens when eclipse plugins are lazy loaded. The JSP editor loads the first time you try to load any JSP. This usually takes some time, from a few seconds to several minutes. Just wait this duration for the first time, and the JSP editor will load very quickly until the next restart. My advice is to not close / restart the eclipse at all.

In addition, to speed up loading time, disable all validators (such as JavaScript syntax syntax) that you think you'll never need.
