How to vertically align multiple tables or graphs in Lyx

What I wanted to do was that I had several tables and / or images of different heights, and they wanted them to be placed side by side on the page so that the vertices of the objects were aligned.

I couldn’t figure it out, no matter if I put these lines “in line” or in separate boxes (Minipages) (which seemed to be aligned as I wanted in the editor), at the output of Lyx it always seemed like they then align these objects around the center of their height, and not from above.

Finally (after several hours of searching on Google and trying to figure it out) I have an answer, so I will post it below because I hope that a person like me will find it useful in the future.

How I solved this is relatively simple.

For each image / table, I created a field (Minipage). In each cell, I put the vertical space in the first row (Insert → Formatting → Vertical Space) and sets the size to 0 inches. After the vertical space, I inserted a graphic / table. Thus, if you place several fields next to each other (for example, setting the page width to 25% of the page width or whatever you want), they will be aligned to the top of the output.

You can also do Ctrl + Space (to insert "protected space") and then Enter, which seems to work in exactly the same way.

Hope this helps.
