Changing the language of Visual Studio 2017 RC

I installed Visual Studio 2017 RC, and by default it installed the language in my system language (Polish), so I tried to change it to EN, but in Options> Environment> International Settings I only have Polish. There is a link to “download more languages” and it redirects to: https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/ And there I can only find language packs for VS 15. Does anyone know where I can find the EN language pack for VS 17 RC?

You can install the language pack only during installation in VS 2017 RC. To install RC with another language:

  • Open the Visual Studio installer.
  • Find the add-on in the "Available" section and click "Install."
  • Go to the Language Packs tab and select a language

You can have multiple instances of VS 2017 side by side so that it does not interfere with your other installation.

Disclosure: I am working on Visual Studio at Microsoft.

  1. Go to ToolsOptions
  2. Select " International settings in the environment", and on the right side of the screen you will see a combo with a list of installed language packs. (so in my case Czech, English and the same as on MS Windows)
  3. Click on OK

You must restart Visual Studio to see the changes ...

If you are Polish (and received the Polish language settings)

  1. NarzędziaOpce
  2. Ustawienia Międzynarodowe in Środowisko

Hope this helps! Have a great time in Poland!

This should solve this:

  • Open the Visual Studio installer.
  • Click the "Edit" button.
  • Select the Language Pack tab in the upper left.
  • Check your language and click the "Change" button in the lower right.

You need to reinstall VS.

Language Pack Support in Visual Studio 2017 RC

Question

This release of Visual Studio supports only one language pack for the user interface. You cannot install two languages for the user interface in one instance of Visual Studio. In addition, you must select the Visual Studio language during the initial installation and cannot change it during Modify.

Bypass

These are known issues that will be fixed in a future release. To change the language in this release, you can uninstall and reinstall Visual Studio.

In RC2 (and most likely in the final version), you can switch the language from Visual Studio, and you can change your setting to include other language packs.

Now you can add and remove several user interface languages on any using the Visual Studio installer on the Language Pack tab. You can select the current user interface language from the installed ones using Tools> Options> International settings. Polish-> English (VS on MAC) answer: When I started the project and was forced to download Visual Studio, I went to their page and saw that the Microsoft logo that I knew about would have problems ... And here it is. It was hard to change the VS language to Mac. My OS is purely English, and only because I downloaded it using a browser with the default Polish language, I got the wrong version. I had to reinstall the version to the latest version, and then the Visual Studio community -> Settings (in the environment section) -> Visual Style-> User Interface Language.

This translates into Polish: Visual Studio Community → Preferencje → Styl Wizualny w sekcji Środowisko → Język interfejsu użytkownika → English.

If you do not see such an option, then, like me, you are forced to update this crappy VS to the latest version.

the solution is actually a combination of @Tienhao Shen's answer first and @Petas Bubak's answer second.
