Turn off spell checking in Eclipse

Every time I create a new workspace in Eclipse, I have to disable spell checking through Preferences. (Settings-> General-> Editors-> Text Editors-> Spelling-> Enable Spell Checking)

This is very annoying. How to disable spell check forever? That is, spell checking is disabled when I create a new workspace, and I can enable it if I want to use it.

This is not an ideal solution, but you can copy existing workspace settings to any workspace. I save a separate .epf (Eclipse preference file, I think), which I simply import into each new workspace that I create:

File → Import ... → General information; Preferences → Next> From Settings File

There are several ways to share preferences, but not with the platform. The one I'm using is now available as an attachment at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=334016 or more specifically as an attachment https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/attachment.cgi ? id = 196866

Install in your Eclipse. You can then export the selected settings to an .epf file. Also add a preference (!) Under Settings> General> General Settings, which will share your settings in the newly created workspaces.

I use this all the time, and although it is not perfect, it will save a lot of effort so that my settings are consistent between workspaces.

If you are writing Java code, Window -> Preferences -> Java -> JDT Spelling
