What does the web package for hidden modules XX mean?

I played with webpack, and during the build I see its output: + 27 hidden modules . What does it mean? Is this a detection of global constants that I use without requiring them?

Webpack hides modules coming from folders, such as ["node_modules", "bower_components", "jam", "components"] , the default is the output to the console. This will help you focus on your modules instead of your dependencies.

You can display them with the --display-modules argument.
