Debugging on an Android device (samsung gt15503) using eclipse

Hi, I have an Android Samsung gt 15503. I am trying to connect this device to an eclipse. but in ddms my device was not found. Instead, when I launch the application, the same emulator starts. I can connect my phone to a computer and perform other operations, such as transferring files, etc., but when I turn on usb debugging on my mobile phone, my device does not even appear on the computer. Can anyone help me on this

When you connect the device (with usb debugging enabled), find it so that it appears in the target dialog box of the launch window in eclipse. Make sure that it is not set to automatic or that it just starts the emulator.

Make sure you install kies.

After enabling usb debugging and connecting your phone, the USB icon should appear in the notifications, if you do not restart the phone and try to connect to it again. Also, make sure all of your AVDs are closed.

Restarting the phone helped me solve this problem.
