Nuget - don't see if nuget allows missing packages to be downloaded during build

I get a message about the following:

Error 1 Package recovery is disabled by default. To give consent, open the Visual Studio Settings dialog box, click the Package Manager node, and select the Allow NuGet to Download Missing Packages During Build check box. You can also consent by setting the environment variable "EnableNuGetPackageRestore" - "true".

When I go to Tools → Options, I don’t see the package manager, and below I see the package sources and the latest packages. I see nowhere where I can install Allow Nuget to download missing packages during build.

Added the ability to give consent in the user interface with NuGet Package Manager 1.8. This is the third item under Tools-> Options-> Package Manager-> General: "Package Recovery: Allow NuGet to Download Missing Packages During Build."

Please ensure that NuGet is updated in Tools-> Extension Manager.

Alternatively, you can agree by setting the EnableNuGetPackageRestore environment EnableNuGetPackageRestore to true .

I found that it took me a few more steps to download it to download packages

  • Check Allow NuGet to Download Missing Packages During Build

  • Check Always show the solution in projects and solutions

  • Right-click on solution and enable NuGet package recovery

  • Open NuGet Package Management and click Restore

I did not have a “package manager” node in the “Tools-> Options” section [this was in Visual Studio 2013 :-)]. To get this node, I looked through Tools -> Extensions and Updates and searched for nuget. Installing "NuGet for Visual Studio 2013" provided me with a node and the ability to allow package recovery!

I am using Visual Studio 2010 and NuGet 2.0.

Someone checked in a solution that used NuGet for various packages. When I checked the solution and built it, I had the same errors. What else, when I looked at the NuGet package manager from the Tools → Options window, the corresponding checkboxes were already checked in the Restore package.

I tried to click the Clear packet cache button. After that, everything is built correctly.
