C: \ windows \ assembly \ temp eats all our disk space

We have a server on which we have many developments. Since this spring (4 months) has had problems with the c: \ windows \ assembly \ temp folder, it has never been cleaned.

Today the size is ~ 28gb from the folder. (from our C drive: 80gb)

All the threads I read return to the fact that the temp folder should be a "self-cleaning" directory

These are the most related blogposts about the GAC and its temporary folders: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/junfeng/archive/2006/11/17/gac-temp-and-tmp.aspx http: //social.msdn. microsoft.com/forums/en-US/clr/thread/f728af5e-c13f-48bc-ab60-0e6f1886321c/ http://blogs.msdn.com/b/junfeng/archive/2005/10/24/484063.aspx

using gacutil.exe / cdl seems to only clear the c: \ windows \ assembly \ tmp folder. = (

Now to my question: how can I clear this directory?

UPDATE:

I did not find a permanent solution. So far, I manually deleted the c: \ windows \ assembly \ temp folder when it got too big. not all files can be deleted because they are used.

Nevertheless, I would like to hear why this is happening.
