Website Design for Kindle

I recently got the idea to design and develop a special mobile version of my website for the Amazon Kindle experimental web browser. Not Kindle Fire, but e-Ink.

However, I did not find any real resources on the Internet on this subject. I provide you, the market share for the Kindle browser should be so terrifying that most webmasters should not even think about worrying about it. Despite this, my website is e-book oriented, so I think the Kindle design will make sense for this case.

So, I ask you, what are your thoughts on creating a Kindle-friendly site?

What are / are the screen resolution (s) and DPI for which I should design? How can I detect a Kindle (but not a Kindle Fire) through JS / CSS multimedia requests?

Which browser does he use? What are its features in HTML5 and CSS3? AJAX? JavaScript timeouts? jQuery animations? Is there an emulator / equivalent for a PC on which I could test it?

Only ever having a Kindle Keyboard, what are the differences between the various iterations of Kindles (again not Kindle Fire), in terms of screen properties and technical capabilities? Are there other electronic devices for reading electronic books (for example, Nook, Sony Reader, and which ones do you have) that I should consider? Do they even have web browsers?

Are there any other technical, design, or philosophical issues that I should consider when creating a site for the purpose of displaying on-screen e-Ink?
