Accepting Bitcoins on Heroku

From what I read, generally accepted wisdom is to create a new Bitcoin address for each payment you are about to receive. However, since the Heroku file system is read-only, where will you store the keys for each new address? bitpiggy.herokuapp.com runs on Heroku and seems to accept bitcoins. Does anyone know how they accept and process bitcoins on the Heroku platform, given that the file system is read-only?

They apparently use a third-party provider, for example. blockexplorer.com or blockchain.info, for Bitcoin services. See Their Developer Resources page for the API they wrote for access to them.

You can also create such a service yourself, just run it on EC2 or a rented server / VPS.
