Vhost.exe. Why is this needed?

Possible duplicate:
What is the purpose of the vshost.exe file?

When creating a .NET application, a second exe is created with the name applicationname.vhost.exe along with the actual application. Or its there along with the actual application when I opened the bin folder.

applicationname.vhost.exe does nothing when I try to open it.

What is his purpose?

The hosting process is a feature in Visual Studio that improves debugging performance, allows you to partially debug trust, and allows the calculation of design expression time. Hosting process files contain vshost in the file name and are placed in the output folder of your project.

This is a "hosting process." It is created whenever you create a project in Visual Studio. Its goal is to provide support for improved F5 performance, partial debugging of trust, and estimation of project development time. VSHOST should never be launched directly and should not be deployed with your application.
