Is there a way to control apache with a new relic?

Can I control static pages served by Apache from New Relic?

Perhaps the module should include?

The new relic now has plugins. One publisher has already published a plugin for Apache .

If this plugin does not track Apache for you in a useful way, you can branch out this project and improve it or create your own.

There is no Apache monitor in the new relic, and we see requests on the web application monitor after Apache passes them, so there is also little visibility there.

The new Relic DOES supports a "time-out" measurement that lets you know how long a request lasts at your Apache and pre-web application level. This includes modifying your Apache configuration to include a special HTTP header that includes the timestamp when Apache started processing the request.

You can read more about this here: https://newrelic.com/docs/features/tracking-front-end-time
