I tested Aptana to see if I prefer it to Dreamweaver, and I definitely want to use it in the future, but it lacks one important function that I need - an easy way to compare a local or remote file before downloading,
I found some information in this thread, but it does not completely solve the question: Aptana File Diff?
The above thread mentions the ability to compare local / remote if you are synchronizing, but if I right-click the file in the Project view and select "Synchronize", the menu that appears does not seem to do anything. Or it could be an attempt to sync the entire site. But I don’t understand how synchronization should work. I do not want to risk unintentionally overlaying files in a remote environment.
