OpenELEC, transmission not installed

The official document and the forum could not find the latest information. Has anyone been able to install the transfer on OpenELEC 2?

For XBMC, there are 2 different additions to the transfer:

  • Server add-in: you must install it to start the transfer on your XBCM / OpenELEC computer.
  • Client add-in: designed to download and manage streams from the XBMC interface. You do not need to install it to download torrents.

To get them on OpenELEC 3.0:

Add-on to the server - System β†’ Settings β†’ Add-ons β†’ Get add-ons and rarr; All add-ons and rarr; Services β†’ Transfer

Client Add-in - Programs β†’ Get More β†’ Transfer

Instead of using the client add-in, you can use the web interface by going to the http://[openelecIP]:9091 from any computer on the same network.

To find out the IP of your XBMC, go to System β†’ System Information β†’ Network

In OpenELEC 3.2 server add-on has been ported to the new Unofficial secondary repository (see this ).

To get this supplement, you must:

1) Install a new repo (not included by default in OpenELEC ) by downloading it from here .

2) Follow the steps described by amirnissim, remembering that you were looking for service in an unofficial repo.

For Openelec 4.0, you no longer need to download a zip file.

  • Enable Unofficial repo: settings β†’ Add-ons β†’ Get add-ons β†’ All add-ons β†’ Add-on repository β†’ Unofficial OpenELEC ... (Just click on it, it will be turned on)
  • Enable the transfer service: Settings β†’ Add-ons β†’ get add-ons β†’ All add-ons β†’ Services β†’ Transfer
  • Install client: System β†’ Settings β†’ Add-ons β†’ Get add-ons β†’ All add-ons β†’ Transfer

Yes, I use the transfer in my highlighted openelec field.

do not install from the terminal. since openelec is built-in, the transmission must be compiled specifically for openelec.

if you set the transmission via β†’ programs β†’ get more .. β†’ transmission you just get a user interface that you still need the server

install the transfer server for openelec go to β†’ settings β†’ add-ons β†’ openelec mediacenter os add-ons β†’ services β†’ transfer

You can configure the server and client.

I work with OpenElec 5.x and try to follow the steps of Snook. I can’t find the Transfer in: Settings β†’ Add-ons β†’ Get Add-ons β†’ All Add-ons β†’ Services β†’ Transfer.

I already tried restarting raspberries / OpenElec by turning on / off raspberries / OpenElec after installing Unofficial OpenELEC, but it never displays.

Any other ideas?
