Toolbar Icon Size in PHPStorm and Intellij

Question

I use both of these IDEs, and my only annoyance is the size of the toolbar icons - they are too small for me. Is there any way to increase the size? I poked, and I did not find a way to assign an icon larger than 20x20.

I am afraid that there is no way to do this.

Note that many developers prefer to completely disable the toolbar to preserve the vertical space of the screen. It does not provide many useful features, and all that it offers can be obtained using keyboard shortcuts.

Don't know the shortcut? Not a problem at all, use Help | Find Action ( Ctrl + Shift + A ).

The easiest way to fix this is to go to Settings → Appearance and Behavior.

Then check the box "Override default fonts (not recommended): Name: <" set font "> Size: <" set size ">

This will increase the font size and toolbar size. This works well for HiDPI displays.
