Turn off the home screen when opening Blender

When I open the 2.64 blender, it automatically shows the start / splash screen (I mean a small box in the middle of the page where you can open the latest .blend files). I would like to disable this, but cannot figure out how to do this. Somebody knows?

You may wonder: why do you need this? Well, I have an external program that opens a blender and shows a scene. This is for presentation. I really don't like the way I need to manually close the start screen before you can see the scene.

Note. I don’t need to do anything, I want Blender to stay in edit mode after showing the scene. Opening the blender in the background and rendering the scene, and then getting this image and showing that the displayed image instead is NOT what I need.

Thanks!

In the section "File β†’ User Settings" there is a tab "Interface" (it is the leftmost). Under this tab in the lower right corner should be the option "Show splash". Just uncheck and do it!

Edit: Forgot to mention that you need to save as a preference before it works correctly.
