I would like to use usage maps in my application so that there is as little traffic as possible. The ideal solution is to cache map slices. I know that this is not possible with google maps (license). I took a look at OpenStreetMaps and this seems like a good solution. Next: SDK. The only thing I found is CloudMade. The problem is that I did not find any related API methods for caching / standalone calls. Are there any alternative solutions?
