Visual Studio refuses JavaScript debugging in IE9 - says: "The correct version of pdm.dll is not registered"

I ran into this problem after installing IE10, finding that it does not work well on my Windows 7 system and removes it. Now, back in IE9, VS2010 was unable to connect to the process and reported an error. I followed the VS2010 installation repair instructions and made regsvr32 on pdm.dll. Still not working. Uninstall IE9 and reinstall it. Not lucky yet.

Here's the solution: The key is that the message says that the incorrect version of pdm.dll is not registered. Apparently, installing IE10 provided the new pdm.dll, and reinstalling IE9 did not replace it. I found an older version on another system, copied it to the C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ microsoft shared \ VS7Debug folder, registered it, and now VS2010 debugging works again.

Here the solution , unfortunately, did not help me.

My solution: - Delete IE 10 - Cotrol Control Panel - Programs and components - VS 2012 - change - repair. (I selected components to download from the Internet)

See comment "Here is the solution." I had an answer when I posted it, but wanted to share it and avoid wasting time by others.

We solved a similar problem by registering the entire DLL again in

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7Debug C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\VS7Debug

For the first, remember:

 %systemroot%\System32\regsvr32.exe

and for the second (32 bit):

 %systemroot%\SysWoW64\regsvr32.exe

If this is not enough, go to the VS debugging menu and go to "Settings and configuration"> "Just in time", clear all the settings there ("Administration", "Native", "Script") and click "OK"

Go to a location and check these settings again and click OK again.
