Git cymbal refinement

I installed GIT on my ubuntu server.

I have the habit of getting stuck in GIT too often for files that require more work.

So far, I have not encountered any problems related to embossing.

I would like to clarify whether it creates a cache if it has a lifetime, and it is removed or cleared after a few days. How safe are my changes in the dash.

And when making any other changes, there is a risk that the stamp will be deleted.

Since around git version 1.6.0, the cache does not expire. The list of changes in this version of git said:

By default, stash entries never expire. Set reflogexpire in [gc "refs/stash"] to a reasonable value to get traditional auto-expiration behaviour back

So, if you want the expiration to expire, do as described above.

Written to git stash have links as local links, so they will adhere indefinitely (i.e. will not collect garbage).
