How to disable the heroku app?

I struggled slowly to the point that I have a working Grails application on Heroku. I'm going to sleep now, so I want to close it, so I will not continue to use my 750 free hours of my Dyno. This is probably obvious, but I cannot find how to turn off the Heroku web server and restart it again in the morning.

To close the scale of the Heroku application, web processes are processed at 0:

heroku ps: scale web = 0

See the Dev article on usage and billing : "A simple web speaker continues to be charged." I believe that the service regime will continue to gain time; it just serves a static page to visitors instead of serving your application.

Remember that each application receives 750 free payment hours per month . Depending on your intended use, this may mean that you do not need to close (i.e. if you plan to run only one dino for the whole month).

To stop DYNO, you can use:

heroku ps:stop "appname"

To get a list of running application names that you can use:

 heroku apps

From the Internet: Personal => Your application name => Browse => Configure Dynos => Click on an online edit => Click on a switch => Confirm

Perhaps turn on maintenance mode? heroku maintenance:on

Just read the documentation:
https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/one-off-dynos#one-off-dynos

Enter

 heroku ps

to see all the running application associated with your account with an associated identifier, then

 heroku ps:stop run.1

if the application you want to stop has an identifier of 1 .

Please note that maintenance mode will not stop your application. The mine was improperly configured and continued to fail while the maintenance mode was on.

There, the service mode in the settings is now in 2019.
