Fixed position broken on contentEditable Safari ios webkit

I want to create a wysiwyg-editor for ipad and have a toolbar with position:fixed - so that it is always available.

However, when I focus on the div with contentEditable="true" , the toolbar is no longer fixed.

This is mistake?

Is there a workaround?

just found it looking for the same thing - for the same reason ...

we have a solution halfway to the toolbar, but it seems to go out of the page and then reset to the correct position when the scroll finally stops. The solution has not yet been communicated to github, but it will be in the next couple of days. The best approach we have so far is a piece of JS that forces the div to return to its place if we find out that we are working on iOS :-(
