HBase: what is a NotServingRegionException?

What is a NotServingRegionException in HBase?

My HBase cluster is working fine, but in the last few days a strange error message appears, similar to the one below:

Failed to perform 180 actions: NotServingRegionException: 180 times, servers with problems: xyza: 60020,

I use Thrift to insert data into HBase. Most of the data attachments seem to be fine, but the job still raises this “error”.

A search on the Internet shows that this exception may be related to a section of a region, but how can I fix HBase or my script so that this exception is no longer thrown?

If you see this too often, it seems that your regions are too often broken / moved between regional servers.

Consider the areas of pre-creation or the use of user-area separation policies.

Please note that the default area sharing policy changes with HBase 0.94, I took some time to understand this problem. Here is the right article , you need the chapter "Automatic splitting".
