IntelliJ IDEA - pocket behavior

I am trying to understand one thing in IntelliJ IDEA 10:

Is such a setting possible?

File | Settings (or Preferences on Mac) | Editor | Allow carriage after end of line :

Settings | Editor | Allow placement of caret after end of line

Please note that this effect can also occur if you activate the column selection mode in: Edit -> Column Selection Mode which allows you to make square selections.
